Details of the painting

I am calling it as done. Not too happy with the carpetdesign, but in the limited time this is all I was able to.

Overall I am happy the way it turned out.

After 3hours of work this is how the painting looks. Still have to tone some colors down and glaze some.

I know it is not a easy painting. The carpet design

is a tough one to do! I had hard time to work on this carpet.I love it so far, the dress of mother turned out silky as I wanted. I havent touched the girls dress yet. Just needs few highlights.

Studying Old Masters William Bouguereau

I am all excited to work on this study of old masters William Bouguereau . He is one of my favourite artists. This is the first stage of the painting and I am happy so far. I still have a long way to complete. In this first stage, I normally lay my colors to check and make sure I am happy with the tonal values. In my next step I will look for the cool and warm shadows and the details.
